DAILY ACTIVITIES
INCLUDE:
-
Three
(3) hours of On- Ice Hockey instruction

Morning On-ice sessions emphasize POWER SKATING (Acceleration, stride,
Tight Turns, Stopping, Cross-overs, Agility, Body Checking)

Afternoon
Sessions will emphasize PUCK SKILLS (Puck control, Stickhandling,
shooting, Passing, Game Situational Drills and scrimmages)

Three
(3) Hours of Off-Ice Dryland Training per day

Off-Ice
Sessions include - Swimming, Football, Basketball, Roller Hockey,
Soccer, Speed & Agility Drills

SPECIALTY
CAMPS

BODY
CHECKING CAMPS: This
program is designed to instruct your child safe and effective ways to
give and receive a Body Check. Sessions will include the following techniques:
Rub-out, Open Ice Hit, Angling, Pinning and hip checks.

CONDITIONING
CAMPS: This
program is designed for the the player who is preparing for Try-outs.
The camp will sharpen the player's existing hockey skills. The ice sessions
will be structured the same as a Practice; emphasizing precision passing,
shooting and game situational drills: 1-on-1, 2-on-1, 3-on-2's, etc.
The younger ages will have some skill development as warrented by the
group.

YOUTH
HOCKEY DEVELOPMENT CAMPS:
This program is designed for the player 5-8
years old. This hockey camp instructs each student correct fundamental
skills required to play this GREAT SPORT. The camp will emphasize Power
Skating, Puck Control, Shooting and lots of FUN!

half hour.

together a first class staff hand picked for their teaching abilities,
communication skills, knowledge of the game/skills & overall
experience. Our staff will work hard to help each student reach
their full potential. |

Bud
Pope
|
|
| Bud
is presently the General Manager and head on ice instructor of the
Sportsplex in Walnut Grove. He has over 20 years of Coaching &
Hockey Instructional Experience working with players of all ages
and abilities from tots to NCAA and Junior. Bud is the recipient
of the 3M Coaching Award and minor hockey coach of the year award. |
